HUBB Filters will present “Achieving Affordable Sustainability – Wake County, NC, a 100 Best Fleet” May 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. (EST). This presentation is part of the “Sustainable Fleet Webinars: Best Practices of the 100 Best Fleets” presented by the NC Clean Energy Technology Center in partnership with The 100 Best Fleets and the Center for Sustainable Energy.
HUBB CEO Scott Killips says the webinar is an opportunity to demonstrate how Wake County went from “intrigued, but skeptical” to “convinced” that implementing the HUBB revolutionary, sustainable oil filter could help increase oil drain intervals and decrease labor costs, while fulfilling the municipalities sustainability mission.
“We launched a pilot program with Wake County on a fleet of 20 ambulance and police pursuit vehicles with the goal of increasing oil drain intervals from every 3,000 miles to every 10,000 miles,” explained Killips. “As a result of the program we had empirical data that showed oil purchases were reduced by 67 percent and labor costs went down by 10 percent. By eliminating oil filters being placed into landfills, the overall program was a win for the community.”
Killips says HUBB will also show how its solution provides faster, better and longer engine protection in comparison to conventional oil filters.

The HUBB solution is a significant improvement over conventional oil filtration technology, and its performance is backed by the industry’s first 100,000-mile or 5,000-hour guarantee. Fleet field results validated by independent oil analysis demonstrate that HUBB can save a typical fleet up to 50 percent on their oil change costs, making it a win for the fleet and a win for the earth.
